Infrastructure Construction Manager
Pay range: $75,500.00 – $110,000.00/annually.
unWired Broadband is searching for an organized and proactive Infrastructure Construction Manager to join our Operations team. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this position is responsible for overseeing all our construction projects including civil, electrical, and tower construction, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, safely, and in compliance with NEC and all other applicable codes and regulations. This includes but is not limited to new builds, PtP Dedicated links, site power upgrades, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. This position also plays a key role in business development by identifying, bidding, and managing external contract work.
Essential Duties:
- • Contribute to project planning by providing valuable insights and recommendations for efficient construction and electrical methodologies, timelines, and resource allocation.
- • Act as a liaison between field teams, project personnel, and leadership ensuring clear and timely communication across all levels.
- • Manage resources including materials, equipment, and labor with a strong focus on project cost control and schedule adherence.
- • Oversee the planning and execution of all electrical work including main service upgrades, conduit installation, panel configuration, metering setups, and power coordination with utilities.
- • Pursue external contract opportunities in civil and electrical construction. Coordinate bid proposals, estimates, and timelines. Manage awarded projects from kickoff to closeout.
- • Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance and adherence to quality and regulatory requirements including NEC, OSHA, and tower owner requirements.
- • Identify potential risks, develop contingency plans, and implement proactive measures to minimize disruptions.
- • Mentor and guide the construction and tower team members through hiring, developing, training, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating and rewarding employees.
- • Ensure proper documentation exists for all sites, including electrical schematics, equipment photos, contact info, and permit approvals.
- • Prepare and submit timely project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- • Develop and maintain quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses and preventive measures.
- • Monitor and utilize Salesforce related dashboards to determine inefficiencies and anticipate project challenges.
- • Ensure necessary training programs are in place and implemented based on new and revised systems, procedures, and/or applications. This includes developing, organizing, and supervising such programs as well as responding to user questions and providing support and/or additional training as necessary.
- • Provide for effective communication and collaboration between team leads, departments, and external partners.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- • High School Diploma, or equivalent language and mathematical skills.
- • Degree in construction management, engineering, related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- • Two (2) year hands on experience in Construction Management role.
- • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, service design, conduit installation, and NEC compliance.
- • Experience estimating and managing external contract work, preferred.
- • Familiarity with telecommunications, tower site, and broadband construction environments.
- • Ability to interpret and apply complex technical information.
- • Must be highly organized with demonstrated ability to multitask.
